About this work
Acrylic and earth pigments on linen. I've been grinding my own pigments from soil samples — this red comes from a site in the Owens Valley. The process is slow; the color shifts as the binder cures. Still working through the final layers; the earth pigments are settling differently than I expected. Might need another week before varnish.
