The Horizon problem

Seven pieces into the Horizon series and I'm still working the same formal problem: how do you make a line feel like an event? The horizon in No. 7 is a strip of bleached driftwood — literal, maybe too literal. But I like the way it divides the chaotic lower section from the quiet upper field. Accumulation and erosion. We read landscape through both.

I've been collecting from the same stretch of coast for three years now. The fragments are getting smaller. Maybe the next one is just the line. Nothing below.
